Due to the low content of light components in heavy oil and high content of asphaltenes and colloids, many heavy oils have the characteristics of high viscosity and high density. Therefore, the extraction of heavy oil is quite difficult. In order to effectively improve this situation, a viscosity reducer can be added during the oil recovery process. This viscosity reducer is a surfactant.
During use, by reducing the tension of the oil-water interface, the heavy oil in the formation is transformed from a water-in-oil emulsified state to a water-phase emulsified state. As a result, the viscosity of the heavy oil is greatly reduced, and the low-temperature fluidity of the heavy oil is effectively improved. The use of viscosity reducer significantly improves the recovery of heavy oil.
Storage and transportation conditions
1. The viscosity reducer need to keep the container tightly sealed when storing.
2. The viscosity reducer should be stored in a cool and ventilated place, and should be kept away from heat and fire sources.
3.The viscosity reducer should be protected from impact during transportation. It is strictly forbidden to mix with food for transportation.
